Finally a good choice by the Star Wars people yay

I saw the new Star Wars movie yesterday. Stuart and I have a two year old tradition of seeing the newest Star Wars movie at 9:00 am the Friday that it comes out. Stuart has always been a much bigger Star Wars fan than I have. However, for the first time in a long time, this Star Wars movie made me smile I think that they made a really good choice when they decided to go back to A New Hope. They really needed to do that because they were getting too far away from who Luke, Leia, Han Solo and Chewbacca really are. The thing that I missed the most during the last five movies was how much fun A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back really were. The thing that I didn't like about Return Of The Jedi was that there was way too much fan service in it. From Leia, in only a metal bikini, chained to Jabba The Hut to a battle between 3 foot tall teddy bears with sling shots against 6 foot tall storm troopers with laser guns, it was too distracting. I hated all of the prequels because, really, did they really need to take up three whole movies just to tell the story of how Anakin became Darth Vader. I think that they could have done it in one. And then The Force Awakens came out and I got to see for myself what a dark and melancholy road the Star Wars franchise had gone down. Even when we got to see the original characters, the way that their lives had gone wrong was so depressing. Star Wars isn't supposed to be depressing it's supposed to be fun.
